It's time to get Lost down the hatch.
Yes, I am that ridiculous. In the world today, media is king. It is the absolute subtle mind control device, because in truth if you can watch it; you're better off than most and must have some time on your hands. So we delve into the world of make believe, and watch the images flicker into our brains.
I only watch 4 shows religiously. I never used to watch any. The only thing I have consistently watched throughout my life is sports. We'll get to those things later.
Do you watch Lost!? Have you seen last season? Do you remotely even understand how good this show is? I explained in a previous post how my cohort S. downloaded the whole first season months ago in HD. I caught one of the last episodes on T.V., and thought the show looked pretty good. Then.....I watched the entire season in a few days thanks to S., staying up to 3 or 4 in the morning some nights. It is like the crack cocaine of T.V., without the horrible effect of insomnia.
Now, tonight. Starting at 8p.m. eastern time for those of you who haven't seen it, they are recapping the first season. Then at 9p.m., it's down the hatch we go kiddies, with an eeriness that will shiver your spine and curl your toes. That's what's so funny about this show. It has the strangest combination of say..the Twilight Zone, and Survivor. Except it's unexpectedly exceptionally written. Can I even write that in a sentence? And there is no reality here in this show, thank God.
I actually thought it was just another reality show when I heard about it coming out. So, I paid no attention to it at all. But I am pumped, and stoked for tonight. No if's and's or butts. I'm am telling you.....watch this show. You will thank me, and thank you S. for the gift of being able to watch the entire first season non-stop. Greatest T.V. experience of my life next to seeing Rocky in the Drive in Theater. But, that would be a movie experience, so it is the greatest T.V. experience of my life.
Other than that, I love Rescue Me more than life itself. It's raw and unruly, and delivers when it comes down to some plot twists. No other show has made me cry more than Rescue Me, and I'm a guy damit. I can completely relate to Probe and Sean, and the humor is always placed at the right moment to keep the show fresh, and not too depressing. God bless Dennis Leary. It's good to see a native comedian have a drama goldmine on his hand. At least for now, he's got a helluva baby on his hands as he is the writer for the show, as well as the main lead.
Then, there would be House. Great show about a disgruntled genius doctor that takes on cases he finds interesting, or peculiar. Hugh Laurie plays the character House, and he is an extreme talent from Oxford, England. I love this show, especially since last season ended so well with at least three different stories were being told, one including House himself as one of the patients needing care which explained his limp. If you don't watch the show I apologize, you can tell me to shut up in the comments section. I won't take it personally.
Alright, I'm actually starting to gross myself out proofreading this, so I'm going to cut this one short.
I enjoy watching Smallville as well, except for the ones that started sucking towards the end of last season. They did end the season off well though, with the finale.
Yes, I watch a program from the WB. Someone stab me right now.
Seriously though, if you haven't been watching Lost, you are missing something spectacular. It is going to end after two or three seasons as a motion picture. That doesn't happen often.
This is the first night in a long time that I actually have some time to sit and enjoy, and relax because of the constant practice of work-day-school-night-work-day-school-night. I'm looking forward to it as if it were my last meal, and I'm sure it will be as sweet.
These are the things a One Eared man watches.
T.V. is my dealer. But I'm only hooked on a few things. (Take note: I do exercise regularly.)
Is this what's in the hatch?!?!

House is sweet deep down. I understand what you're saying. lol.
I just saw the first episode of the second season of Lost. It was on tonight on Fox in America, and it was wonderful!:)))
Where is Freckels!
I love Rescue Me! Denis Leary is the man. The only other show I watch religeously is The Shield.
I've never seen Lost or House but I hear they're good. I'll check 'em out.
Have a good one!
T
T, I knew you had good taste.:)
Yeah, Rescue Me is a perfect show away from the norm and I haven't even seen the finalle yet. I will tonight since I got it on the DVR. Just never have enough time. But I guess that's a good thing.
When are you going to start writing again T!:)
LOST season 2 has started? oh don`t tell me. don`t tell meeeeeeeeeee!
;)
hey beo, where did you download the episodes?
I tried to find out for you Still, and in the process I ruined my relationship with the guy that knows, by jokingly accusing him of wanting the bandwidth all for himself.
Turns out, I was unfortunetly correct, and he is totally pissed at me for the accusation.
Yikes. I should watch my mouth.
Smallville is the only show I watch religiously. You used to make fun of me for watching it. BITCH!
Yeah, believe me. When the show started getting stupid by the end of the last season, I would make fun of myself and you.
The show is usually pretty good. I stated watching it like 2 years ago when each episode was well written. I feel pretty stupid when I watch it, and the episodes suck. The WB is pretty feminine.
Hey comrade. I have also referred to Lost as crack twice today alone. I saw the season finale, then went out and bought the entire first season DVD with the last of my measly wages and stayed up until 3 or 4 AM watching every episode. I even called in sick one day. Crazy! I've got a ton of theories...
Welcome to group Lost Mr. m.rolfe.g. My name is Beo, and I'm a Lostaholic too.
What are your theories?
